Dalton

Adoption Date: 12/06/09

From Judy:
"Dalton is the love of our lives. My mother latched on to him and the two of them have become inseparable.

He has just started basic obedience classes at Petsmart and I think he is their #1 pupil.

Thank you all for giving him another chance in life and allowing us become his forever family."

Heidi Lu

Adoption Date: 06/2006

From Shaney:
Heidi Lu came to us as a "special needs" dog through a picture in the newspaper.
We weren't even searching for another dog, as we already had two wonderful minature dachsunds at home.
The instant I saw her, I knew.  I called the number and set up a date to see her.
It was love at first sight!  Heidi pawed at me excitedly and licked me crazily through her cage.
But as soon as I got her out, I saw the physical burdens that she was to overcome.
The charming, happy dog was riddled in scars from her continuing battle with demodectic mange.
Heidi's ribs protruded through the naked, furless skin, only to reveal a beautiful, bouncy personality that few had seen.
I brought her home only to the diappointment of my husband who wasn't fond of "hairless rats".
Nevertheless, 12 weeks and countless dips and antibiotic regimens, Heidi melted our hearts and became the beautiful princess we have today.
She is our "diamond in the rough".
The caring hearts of "Lost Paws" saw the same and brought her to us.

Thank you!

Kendall

Adoption Date: 08/29/2009

My husband and I visited PetSmart August of 2009 in Las Colinas looking for a new addition to our one canine family with the Lost Paws Rescue group.

held and played with several dogs, which included Kendall.

I put Kendall back and I proceeded to look at another dog; but, I could not put her out of my mind. As we started to leave, many people visiting PetSmart called to me as I walked away saying she followed me around in her kennel and she was whimpering.

Several people working there that day said she had not done that with anyone.  I

took one look back at her and I had tears in my eyes; I loved that dog immediately. Thankfully, I have an understanding husband and instead of getting a boxer we fostered-to-adopt a Chinese Crested Powder Puff…my Kendall.

I love her so much and I know the feeling is mutual. She is a precious addition to our household and her brother, Bailey (a Shih-Pom).

She was very timid at first and it took her several weeks to warm up to all of us; she needed to be sure this was her forever home.

And, now she is a happy and tail-wagging dog that loves her fur-ever home.
