Not everyone can keep up with an active puppy or young dog or cat!Lost Paws Rescue also has some special seniors that are in need of a loving forever home, and they may just be the perfect match for elderly or less active humans. Here are just a few of our featured seniors! We offer our Seniors For Seniors Program to people who are 55 years old or older! Name: Spud Breed: Dapple Chihuahua Age: 6 1/2 Years
I get along well with other dogs and I still love to play. I am skittish at first and when I bond to you, I am very faithful and affectionate. I just need a little bit of time and I become your shadow. I am neutered, current on shots, heartworm negative, crate trained, leash trained, and I am doing well on potty training. I will also have a dental cleaning shortly. All potential adopters will complete an APPLICATION FORM. My adoption fee is $175. More about Spud HERE!
Name: Trinity Breed: Miniature Schnauzer Age: 6 Years Trinity was rescued from a puppy mill. She has spent most of her life there and has never experienced a home of her own. She is approximately 6 years old. Fortunately, she is a remarkably normal, very sweet dog. She still loves her crate and is learning to be a real dog. She's allowed on the furniture in her foster home, don't worry it's easy behavior to correct if her new family doesn't like that, but doesn't yet know how to jump down. She follows her foster parents everywhere they go and barks if you're not paying attention to her. She needs a patient individual who can provide a home where Trinity can further developing her doggy behavior. She doesn't know what toys are and is starting to learn what a leash is. She has learned to use the doggie door very quickly, but is still working on her house training. If you would like to meet Trinity, please complete an online. Trinity's adoption fee is $200.
Name: Miss Muffett Breed: Tabby Age: 6 Years
Talk! Talk! Talk! Miss Muffett (Muffy) is very, VERY vocal! She is cat tolerant but would like nothing better than to be the one and only sitting in your lap with her tiny little paws around your neck. Miss Muffett will sleep with you ~ as long it isn't too crowded with other felines, as she doesn't like to share. And this little tiger is a non-stop purr box! The purr~fect home for Muffy would be as an only cat or with one (or two) other very independent cats who are not looking for a best friend. Although she has not been around dogs, she would probably adjust to a home with a cat-friendly dog. Caution, Miss Muffett is not for the novice cat owner as she would be running the house, she needs a firm hand as she will try more often than not, to get her way. For example, she will try to dart out the door on occasion, perhaps because she had been an outdoor kitty a long, long time ago.

Name: Cajun Breed: Domestic Short Hair/Tortoiseshell Age: 6 Years CAJUN is still looking for her forever home after 5 years and we don't know why she hasn't found it. She is a very sweet but feisty little girl! Like her name, CAJUN is a very spirited and beautiful tortishell. CAJUN loves attention and will curl up next to her foster mom in bed, pushing all the other kitties away until she has "her spot.." And although she has not been around a dog, I think she would adjust to a cat-friendly canine. CAJUN would make a great companion for someone who is looking for a little spice in their life!!Cajun is spayed and current on shots.
