Lost Paws Rescue of Texas is staffed by caring volunteers.

We are always looking for people who can help in several different areas of the organization.

We are seeking volunteers to help us with:

Volunteer Coordination:

• Talk to new volunteers and help schedule them for adoption/fundraising events  and/or subcommittees
• Schedule volunteers to spend time with cats at PetSmart during the week
• Contact Community Service volunteers and schedule for weekends
• Community Service Supervisor (on weekends)
• Friday night set-up with Community Service folks before adoption events

Marketing/Advertising:

• Content writer(s) for animal Bios on the web
• Increase our presence on social media sites (such as Facebook/Twitter)
• Create communications and collateral material (brochures/posters)
• Assist with monthly newsletters and other communications

Fundraising/Event Planning:

• Coordinate and assist with fundraising events
• Obtain private and corporate sponsorships/donations
• Help review and edit recipes submitted for the upcoming Lost Paws cookbook

Administrative:

• Check general Voicemails/Emails daily and relay to the correct volunteer(s)
• Maintain Constant Contact email database for volunteers and adopters
• Data Entry of all adopted animals into database
• Add more vet clinics to our group of supporters
• Animal transportstion (to/from doctors appts or adoption events)
• Photographers to capture the personality of our adoptable pets
• Stop by during the week to play with our kitties that stay at PetSmart
• Weekly laundry help

Adoption Events:

• Dog Bathing before Adoption Events (either Friday nights or early Saturday mornings)
• Weekend adoptions events (petting and holding the animals to get them use to physical contact, socialization, meeting with prospective adopters, adoption paperwork, walking, cleaning and helping care for them)

Foster Homes:

• Loving folks to "foster" our available animals in their homes to help ready them for permanent adoptive homes.
